A41-210 looked to depart RAAF Base Amberley flew straight up to Rocky.  After completing the missed approach, the C-17 then returned to Amberley.

A41-210 was heard to be using the radio callsign of "Stallion 21".

Meanwhile, over the last few days, some different RAAF Alenia C-27J Spartan transport aircraft have been noted flying out of Mount Isa on the final leg of a two-day flight from RAAF Base Amberley to Horn Island back.  They have been noted either overflying or actually calling into Longreach Airport and on Monday 7 December, Spartan A34-003 "Wallaby 12" was noted departing Longreach Airport for Amberley.

Spartans A34-010 "Wallaby 04" and A34-002 "Wallaby 05" were also involved in this 'Exercise'.
