Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Search and Rescue (SAR) Bell 412EP Helicopter VH-EPH "Rescue 66" Pops into Mackay Airport Heading North from Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA)

On Wednesday 21 July, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Search and Rescue (SAR) Bell 412EP helicopter VH-EPH "Rescue 66" was noted departing the Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA) heading North following a deployment to Camp Growl in support of the Combined Exercise Talisman Sabre 2021 (TS21).

VH-EPH "Rescue 66" looked to pop into Mackay Airport before continuing up to Charters Towers Aerodrome.

UPDATE!  On Thursday 22 July, VH-EPH "Rescue 66" continued up to Townsville but then looked to return to Charters Towers Aerodrome.

UPDATE!  On Saturday 31 July, VH-EPH "Choppa 66" had arrived into Darwin Airport in the Northern Territory.

As posted below, VH-EPH as "Choppa 66" ferried into Rockhampton Airport on Sunday 11 July before heading up to Camp Growl the following day.

Of interest, the Bell 412EP VH-EPH is owned by Lloyd Helicopters and operated by CHC Helicopters Australia and spent many years operating as a medical evacuation helicopter for the New South Wales Ambulance Service based at Bankstown Airport.
