RAAF Boeing B737-7ES / E-7A Wedgetail A30-003 Spotted Completing Missed Approach at Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport

On Friday 3 December, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing B737-7ES / E-7A Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft A30-003 was spotted completing airwork including a missed approach at Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport.

It looked to fly up from RAAF Base Williamtown and after completing the airwork at Hervey Bay, it returned South to complete more airwork at Coffs Harbour before heading back to Williamtown.

As shown, the No. 2 Squadron E-7A Wedgetail aircraft A30-003, now features new tail-art celebrating 100 years of RAAF service.

As part of the Air Force 2021 (AF2021) Centenary commemorations, the AF021 Centenary logo is being displayed on the tails of selected aircraft, to highlight the significant goal of 100 years of service to Australia and a broader world community, particularly in humanitarian and disaster relief operations.
