Mitchell Water Cessna 525 Citation M2 Bizjet VH-WMY Calls into a Couple of Central Queensland Airports - Plus More!

On Monday 9 January, Mitchell Water Cessna 525 Citation M2 bizjet VH-WMY was noted visiting a couple of Central Queensland Airports during a busy day of flying.  It flew up from Melbourne (Essendon) to Miles and Chinchilla Airports before it then continued to the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour.

VH-WMY then flew down from Shute Harbour to the Sunshine Coast before returning to Miles Airport and then heading back to Essendon but via Melbourne (Moorabbin).

While for the second day in-a-row, AirMed Australia Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-NEQ as "AirMed 956" was noted visiting the region on what appeared to be a medical evacuation flight.  This time it visited Biloela / Thangool Airport from Archerfield.

And Air Link (Dubbo) Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-SEQ flew up from Archerfield to Hamilton Island Airport before then returning there but via the Sunshine Coast.

Meanwhile, also on Monday 9 January, Seair Pacific / Istlecote Cessna 208 Caravan VH-TQW visited the Wanella Station Airstrip near Coppabella, arriving from Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport, Maryborough Airport and Rockhampton Airport.  It then flew back down to the Fraser Coast, arriving directly into Hervey Bay Airport.

Brisbane-based Crockett Aviation Group Beech B200 King Air VH-FAQ visited the Labona Station Airstrip within Adani Australia's (Bravus Mining & Resources) Carmichael Coal Mine site from Archerfield and the Sunshine Coast.

While The Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ visited Rockhampton Airport from Mount Isa.

The Queensland Police Service (Airwing) (State of Queensland) Raytheon B1900D VH-PSK arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Cairns and Townsville before later departing to Mackay Airport.  It then returned North to Townsville and Cairns.

And locally-based Tex Onsite (Tex Assets P/L) Aero Commander 500-U VH-TXE departed Rockhampton Airport for Townsville.

Finally, also on Monday 9 January, Skytrans Airlines Dash-8-100 VH-QQG arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Cairns and Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport as SKP85/780 before then promptly operating a Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flight to Labona Station Airstrip and back to Rockhampton Airport as SKP771/2.

And a pair of Hinterland Aviation Beech B200 King Air turboprops were both noted also operating into Labona Station Airstrip during the day.  VH-HLJ arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Cairns as HND626 then operated to Labona and back as HND331/2.  While VH-HJS visited Labona from Townsville as HND221/2.
