Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Airbus A330-203 / KC-30A (MRTT) A39-003 "Dragon 36" Calls into Rockhampton Airport

On Tuesday 24 January, local plane spotter 'IAD' was on hand as Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Airbus A330-203 / KC-30A (MRTT) A39-003 touched down at Rockhampton Airport.

The KC-30A landed at Rocky on what looked to be a crew training flight.

It was heard to be using the radio callsign of "Dragon 36" and after landing, taxied and stopped for a short time on Taxiway Juliette while undergoing a crew change.

After a short time, A39-003 "Dragon 36" departed Rockhampton Airport for the South, heading towards the Sunshine Coast where it completed some airwork, before then flying onwards to Amberley.

Sincere thanks to 'IAD' for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos of a great visitor to the beef capital!
