On Tuesday 13 June, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Airbus A330-203 / KC-30A Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) A39-001 was photographed as it completed a missed approach at Rockhampton Airport.  The MRTT was flying as "Dragon 50" and flew down from Townsville before continuing to RAAF Base Amberley.

It had earlier flown up to Townsville from Amberley.

Fellow RAAF Airbus A330-203 / KC-30A Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) A39-004 as "Dragon 12" was also noted completing a missed approach at Rockhampton Airport.  It flew up from and then returned to Amberley.

Meanwhile, also spotted completing a missed approach at Rockhampton Airport, also on Tuesday 13 June, was Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Lockheed C-130J-30 Hercules transport aircraft A97-449.

It was heard to be flying as "Trojan 04" and also came up from Amberley but via completing a missed approach at Bundaberg Airport.  After completing the airwork at Bundy, it continued up to Rockhampton Airport for more airwork before it then continued up to Townsville.

While down in the Fraser Coast region, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing B737-7ES / E-7A Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft A30-006 as "Wedgetail 11" flew up from RAAF Base Williamtown to complete a missed approach at Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport before it then returned to Williamtown but via Port McQuarrie.

Plus RAAF Beech B350 Super King Air turboprop A32-426 as "Hudson 09" looked to call into Roma Airport while flying up from RAAF Base East Sale to Townsville.

And photographed arriving into Rockhampton Airport, also on Tuesday 13 June, was Australian Army NH Industries MRH-90 Multi-Role Helicopter A40-022 as "Trooper 51".

It arrived from the Oakey Army Aviation Centre and later departed to Townsville.

Sincere thanks to the local plane spotters for allowing to share these great photos of a great day of military action - it's starting to ramp up with Exercise Talisman Sabre 2023 just around the corner!
