New Graham Aviation (Cairns) Cessna 510 Citation Mustang Bizjet VH-8DD Spotted at Rockhampton Airport - Plus More!

On Thursday 24 August, Port Macquarie Helicopters / Graham Aviation (Cairns) new Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-8DD was spotted arriving into Rockhampton Airport from Port Macquarie.

After a short time on the ground, it departed to Cairns.

Of interest, this Citation Mustang is the third operated by Graham Aviation in Cairns.  VH-8DD was registered in late June and was previously N542RK.

The other 'current' Graham Aviation Cessna 510 Citation Mustang VH-FNZ remains in Mareeba, while the much-publicised original Mustang, VH-FNI, was damaged at the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour in April 2022 and was soon after cancelled from the Australia Aircraft Register before the aircraft was the acquired by Airlink (Dubbo) and had its original registration marking of VH-FNI re-instated.

Meanwhile, also on Thursday 24 August, Brisbane-based Teys Australia Cessna 525 Citation CJ2 bizjet VH-TEY landed at Emerald Airport from Archerfield and then later flew to Mackay Airport.  It then returned to Archerfield.

The locally-based Embraer EMB-550 Legacy 500 bizjet N142GZ departed Mackay Airport for Brisbane before returning later in the day.

UPDATE!  On Friday 25 August, N142GZ, flew from Mackay Airport to Sydney.  On Tuesday 5 September, N142GZ finally returned to Mackay Airport.

Re-registered AERgO International Aviation Beech B200 King Air VH-XGV landed at the Labona Station Airstrip within Adani Australia's (Bravus Mining & Resources) Carmichael Coal Mine site from Archerfield.  It then returned there via the Sunshine Coast.

Plus Flight One (Services) Beech B200 King Air VH-FON also called into Labona but from Archerfield via the Sunshine Coast.  It then returned to Archerfield direct.

The Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Cairns, Townsville and Mackay Airports before it then departed to Brisbane.

Rural Funds Management (A.C.T.) Pilatus PC-12/47E VH-STE arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Canberra before it then departed back to there.

And after arriving into Rockhampton Airport the previous day, during the later afternoon, Inverted Downunder / Matt Hall Racing Extra EA-300L VH-IOG operated aerobatics over the Gavial Creek area on the downriver side of Rocky.  It then returned to Rockhampton Airport.

UPDATE!  On Friday 25 August, Extra 300 VH-IOG departed Rockhampton Airport for Charters Towers Aerodrome and then Cairns where it is expected to complete more aerobatics!

Sincere thanks to local plane spotter Trevor H for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos from Rockhampton!
