Private Switzerland Regsitered Daher (SOCATA) TBM 960 HB-KJT at Hamilton Island Airport - Plus More!

On Thursday 17 August, Private Switzerland Registered Daher (SOCATA) TBM 960 HB-KJT was noted departing Hamilton Island Airport for Brisbane.  It then continued over to Suva via Noumea and Port Vila.


We missed its arrival into Hamo at the start of the week on Monday 14 August, when it flew down from Darwin and Cairns - where it is pictured above.

Meanwhile, also on Thursday 17 August, another overseas registered visitor to the region in the form of New Zealand registered NZSkydive Ltd Pacific Aerospace PAC 750XL ZK-EPN landed at Emerald Airport from the Gold Coast before it then departed to Mareeba. ZK-EPN had arrived into the Goldie from New Zealand the previous day.

UPDATE!  This PAC 750XL is the third and final aircraft gifted by Australia to Papua New Guinea under an Aid programme. In late August, ZK-EPN was delivered to the Papua New Guinea Defence Force (PNGDF) and has taken up the military serial of P2-703.

Finally, also on Thursday 17 August, New Capital Jet Charter (ACT) Pilatus PC-24 bizjet VH-88M visited Hamilton Island Airport from Canberra.

Special Mining Services / Flight Options (Australia) Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300E bizjet VH-UYX visited Hamilton Island Airport from Sydney.

Bowenville (near Toowoomba) based Cessna 525 CitationJet CJ1+ bizjet VH-JSZ visited the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour from Archerfield.

RDO Equipment Co. Pilatus PC-12/47 VH-WPH flew up to Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport from Toowoomba and Bundaberg Airports and this afternoon reversed the flight.  

Re-registered AERgO Asset Management Beech B200 King Air VH-XGV as "Navair 173" flew up to the Labona Station Airstrip within Adani Australia's (Bravus Mining & Resources) Carmichael Coal Mine site from Archerfield.

Flight One (Services) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-UVH flew to Labona as well but from and back to the Sunshine Coast.

And re-registered Interair (Essendon) Piper PA-31 Navajo VH-PJU flew up from Toowoomba to Clermont Aerodrome where it then started aerial survey operations.  It then looked to fly down to Emerald Airport.
