RAAF Boeing B737-7ES / E-7A Wedgetail A30-003 "Wedgetail 05" Completes Airwork at Rockhampton and Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airports

On Wednesday 16 August, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing B737-7ES / E-7A Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft A30-003 was spotted and noted completing airwork at both Rockhampton Airport and Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport during a busy morning of flying.

A30-003 was flying as "Wedgetail 05" and flew up from RAAF Base Williamtown to complete three missed approaches at Rockhampton Airport where it was spotted above and below.

It then flew down to complete three further missed approaches at Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport before then returning back to Williamtown.

Sincere thanks to Rockhampton plane spotter John L and photographer Steve V for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
