The much-travelled rescue helicopter had been recently working from Horn Island as "Rescue 700" and left there to Cairns on Thursday via Coen and Cooktown. It parked on the old Capricorn Helicopter Rescue pad.
Of interest, the helicopter rescue service at Horn Island is now operated by a pair of new Babcock owned Leonardo AW139 helicopters registered VH-8HB and VH-8HD.
As shown, they feature a very attractive first-nations style livery.
