A Few Bizjets Around Central Queensland Airports as Federal Election Campaign Comes to Mackay on Monday

Monday 12 August brought a few bizjets to Central Queensland Airports.

Toowoomba-based Light Jets Australia Cessna 525 Citation CJ1 VH-TFW popped into Biloela / Thangool Airport early in the day, touching down from Archerfield. VH-TFW then flew to Rockhampton Airport where it was expected to stay overnight.

Also touching down at Rockhampton Airport early in the morning was TWC Logistics Hawker Beechcraft 390 Premier 1 VH-TGQ.  The little bizjet also arrived from Archerfield before departing later for Mackay.  From Mackay, VH-TGQ returned to Archerfield later on Monday 12 August.

Meanwhile, the upcoming Federal election campaign is obviously in full swing with Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet A37-002 calling into both Rockhampton and Mackay Airports on Sunday 11 August, while on Monday 12 August, RAAF Boeing B737-700(BBJ) A36-002 noted also arriving into Mackay Airport late in the day as "Envoy 39".

Finally, noted arriving with the RAAF BBJ was Alliance Airlines Fokker F-70 VH-JFE which touched down at Mackay Airport from Sydney as UTY624.  It is believed that Alliance Fokker F-70s VH-JFE and VH-JFB are flying with the Federal leaders carrying media and other representatives.
