Alliance Airlines Charters Galore on Monday Afternoon at Emerald, Gladstone and Barcaldine Airports

I took a quick trip to Emerald on Monday 5 August to catch up with a couple of Alliance Airlines Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flights to call in to Emerald Airport.

I made it just in time to photograph the arrival of Alliance Fokker F-70 VH-JFB which touched down at Emerald as UTY662 from Brisbane.

VH-JFB wasn’t on the ground long, departing Emerald for Alice Springs as UTY611 shortly after.

Later, Alliance Fokker F-100 VH-XWQ arrived into Emerald at UTY668 also from Brisbane.

It later returned to Brisbane as UTY669.

After the sun went down, Alliance Fokker F-70 VH-QQX was due to fly in to Emerald from Brisbane as UTY619.  And finally, Fokker F-50 was scheduled to arrive from Barcaldine Aerodrome as UTY654.

Interestingly too, Alliance Fokker F-100 VH-FKC was also noted visiting Emerald Airport late on Monday 5 August, operating a scheduled service from Brisbane on behalf of QantasLink.  That meant five Alliance Airlines aircraft popped into Emerald Airport in the space of about four hours!

Finally, Alliance Fokker F-100 VH-FWH was spotted by Michael F at Gladstone Airport on Monday 5 August, after earlier touching down from Brisbane as UTY664.

At the time of writing, VH-FWH was scheduled to depart later in the evening as UTY2520 for Mackay – it is believed that this was a scheduled flight operated on behalf QantasLink.

UPDATE!  VH-FWH remained at Gladstone Airport overnight and departed there for Brisbane early on Tuesday 6 August as UTY663.

A busy afternoon and evening!
