Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100 VH-FKJ Makes a Rare Trip to Rockhampton Airport on Charter

Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100 VH-FKJ made a rare visit to the East coast of Australia on Tuesday 20 August, touching down at Rockhampton Airport around lunchtime.

VH-FKJ was operating some sort of charter as the normally Perth-based Fokker touched down at Rockhampton from RAAF Base Scherger as UTY603.  It later departed to Sydney, and then Melbourne (Essendon) before heading back to Perth.  Over the previous day, and earlier on Tuesday, VH-FKJ flew from Perth to Townsville, before heading to Scherger.

VH-FKJ pulled into its parking spot on the Rockhampton Airport next to Virgin Australia Boeing B737-800 VH-YFK which had earlier touched down from Brisbane as VOZ1235.

Thanks to 'IAD' for venturing to Rockhampton Airport to capture some photos of such a rare visitor to Rockhampton Airport.
