A Few Other Plane Spotting Photos from Rockhampton Airport

Rockhampton plane spotters have enjoyed a few days of great aircraft action with a wide variety of commercial, general aviation and helicopter traffic to call through Rockhampton Airport.

Virgin Australia continue to operate a wide variety of new and old Embraer E-190 and Boeing B737 aircraft into Rockhampton airport, with ‘IAD’ capturing B737-700 VH-VBV touching down as VOZ1235 on Saturday 3 August.

Meanwhile, on Monday 5 August, Travis W captured some more photos of Virgin’s almost new B737-800 VH-YFQ was it called into Rockhampton Airport also as VOZ1235.

During the visit of VH-YFQ, Virgin’s newest B737-800 VH-YFR actually entered service as well!

Some of the recent general aviation traffic to call into Rockhampton Airport recently has included Gippsland Aeronautics (Gippsaero) GA-8-TC 320 Turbo Airvan VH-BYI which was photographed at Rockhampton Airport by Travis also on Monday 5 August while in Rockhampton on a demonstration tour of Australia.

Locally-based Pilatus Britten-Norman BN-2A-8 Islander VH-SLM was captured by Travis on Monday 5 August arriving into Rockhampton Airport from one of its charter flights to nearby Marble Island.

Also calling into Rockhampton was Noosa-based Cessna 401 VH-ARI on Sunday 4 August.

Lastly, a nice pair of helicopters have been captured at Rockhampton Airport in the form of Reid Heliwork Agusta 206B VH-BCX which was spotted by ‘IAD’ on Sunday 4 August.

While, Newcastle Helicopters Messerschmitt-Bolkow-Blohm BO105-S (CBS-4) helicopter VH-XBO was spotted at Rockhampton Airport by Trevor H back on Saturday 27 July.

Some great movements – and sincere thanks to the Rockhampton Plane Spotters for allow us to share them with you!
