Execujet Bombardier Challenger 604 Bizjet VH-VSZ Pops into Hamilton Island Airport

Execujet Australia Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-VSZ was noted calling into Hamilton Island Airport from Sydney early on Monday 9 May.

After a short time on the ground, it returned to Sydney.

Meanwhile, making a surprise and very welcome visit to Hamilton Island Airport on Sunday 8 May was Virgin Australia (Virgin Samoa) Boeing B737-800 VH-YID.  It operated the VOZ1751/1754 return service from Melbourne (Tullamarine).

The B737-800 largely operates on Virgin's overseas sectors and wears the colours and titles of Virgin Samoa - which was preceded by Polynesian Blue - for operations also into Western Samoa and other Pacific Islands.  It also wears the name 'Tapu'itea'.
