RAAF Challenger 604 Bizjet A37-002 Spotted at Hamilton Island Airport Friday

A nice surprise arrival into Hamilton Island Airport on Friday 20 May was Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet A37-002.

It was believed to have arrived from Canberra via Launceston.

Reports suggest that the 34 Squadron VIP transport jet did drop off a passenger onto Hamo, possibly in association with the Federal Election campaign currently underway.

After a short while on the ground, A37-002 departed back to Canberra.

The Challenger was heard to be using the radio callsign of "Envoy 12" on both of its flights.
