While they've been out at Rockhampton Airport over recent days, local plane spotters Kayanne H and Trevor H have also captured some photos of a couple of interesting light General Aviation (GA) aircraft that have also called into the beef capital.
Recently registered Cirrus SR22 VH-SDA was spotted visiting Rocky after arriving from Mackay Airport on Monday 9 May. On Wednesday 11 May, VH-SDA continued further South to Walgett.
Of interest, VH-SDA was one of several Cirrus single-engine aircraft that called into Longreach Airport over the Labour Day long-weekend while on an air-safari up to Far North Queensland.
VH-SDA has spent some time flying around parts of Australia as a Cirrus demonstration aircraft.
And of course, the registration marking VH-SDA has history in CQ as it was once worn by a QantasLink Dash-8-200 aircraft.
Meanwhile, another notable lightie visiting Rockhampton Airport on Monday 9 May was Redjet Aviation Piper PA-31 Navajo VH-PJU which visited briefly from its Toowoomba base.
It also visited - and is pictured above - at Rockhampton Airport on Friday 6 May when it once again visited from Toowoomba.
Finally, on Tuesday 10 May, Kayanne spotted Glasair Sportsman 2+2 VH-OAO which looks to be receiving attention at Rockhampton Airport.
The smart little amateur-built aircraft is registered in South Australia.
Thanks guys!
