On Thursday 12 May, NetJets (AusJet) Cessna 501 Citation I/SP bizjet VH-FUM was captured by Stan W arriving at the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour. It flew in from its Melbourne (Essendon) base.
It was supposed to land at Charleville for fuel but was able to continue to the Whitsunday in one leg.
Reports suggest that VH-FUM will remain parked at Shute Harbour for the weekend.
Meanwhile, a couple of interesting light General Aviation (GA) aircraft have also been noted visiting the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour in recent days including New South Wales-based SOCATA TB-10 VH-WWW which looked to depart to Kingaroy and Coffs Harbour on Thursday 12 May. It was noted flying North via Rockhampton Airport earlier in the week. Meanwhile, New South Wales-based Rockwell 685 Commander VH-NJT was noted calling in from Undara on Wednesday 11 May. It later departed to Hervey Bay before continuing to Bankstown on Thursday 12 May.
Sincere thanks to Stan W for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos! Cheers mate!
