Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) Boeing B757-200 NZ7572 Pops into Rockhampton Airport as “Kiwi 606”

Making a spectacular arrival into a gloomy Rockhampton Airport on Friday 5 July was Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) Boeing B757-2K2 NZ7572.

It was captured by local plane spotter 'IAD' as it touched down as "Kiwi 606" directly from RNZAF Base Ohakea - an operational base of the Royal New Zealand Air Force near Palmerston North.

Local plane spotter Kayanne H was also on hand and captured the B757 as it taxied in and parked on Gate 6 on the Southern end of the Rockhampton Airport apron.

After unloading some personnel and their bags, NZ7572 looked to return to Ohakea again as "Kiwi 606".

The visit of the B757 was one of two RNZAF visitors into Rocky on Thursday as preparations for joint Military Exercise Talisman Sabre 2019 (TS19) continue.

Sincere thanks to local plane spotters 'IAD' and Kayanne H for taking the time to capture and send through these awesome photos!
