Pel-Air SAAB 340 Freighter VH-EKT Stuck at Rockhampton Airport This Week

For most of this week, Pel-Air SAAB 340A Freighter VH-EKT has been grounded at Rockhampton Airport after reportedly suffering hydraulic problems on an scheduled freight flight from Mackay to Rockhampton late on Tuesday 12 February.


Rockhampton plane spotter 'IAD' spotted VH-EKT parked at Rockhampton Airport on Friday 15 February.  VH-EKT later flew to Townsville.

It was a busy afternoon at Rockhampton Airport on Friday 15 February, with a pair of Singapore Flying College Cessna 510 Citation Mustang training bizjets touching down from the Sunshine Coast.  VH-VSQ was noted flying as "Raffles 4", while VH-SQW was noted flying as "Raffles 53".

Nitro Aviation (Nitro Drilling) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-NDT was also noted passing through Rockhampton, arriving from Middlemount, and evenutally departing to Sunshine Coast.
