A Few Recent Plane Spotting Photos from Rockhampton Airport

Local plane spotter Phil M has shared with us some great images he captured of a couple of recent commercial and one special visitor to Rockhampton Airport.

As posted below, over recent days, Rockhampton has seen numerous missed approaches by various Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) jets including multiple visits by RAAF Airbus A330-203 / KC-30A (MRTT) aircraft.

Also recently spotted by Phil was Virgin Australia Boeing B737-800 VH-YFP which operated into the beef capital from Brisbane one recent afternoon.

He also sends through a couple of photos of a couple of Dash-8s to visit Rocky, with QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 VH-QOD shown taxiing for departure recently.

Along with an unidentified Surveillance Australia / Australian Customs and Border Protection Service (Cobham Aviation) Dash-8 resting in the late afternoon sun.

Some great photos from Phil, who has also asked me to remind readers that Rockhampton Airport is holding an emergency exercise on this coming Wednesday 21 May and needs volunteers between 9am and 2pm to simulate a real-life situation.  Interested people can call 49329000.

Thanks Phil!
