Aerorescue (AMSA - Australian Maritime Safety Authority) Dornier 328-100 VH-PPV at Longreach Airport

Live flight-tracking website Flightwaware (http://flightaware.com/) suggests that usually Cairns-based Aerorescue (AMSA - Australian Maritime Safety Authority) Dornier 328-100 VH-PPV "Rescue 441" called into Longreach Airport in the wee-small hours of Tuesday 6 May.

It arrived from Cairns and later departed back there.  Certainly an interesting movement and at a very interesting time!

Meanwhile, Gulf Coast Aviation Cessna 510 Citation Mustang VH-KXM called back into Longreach on Monday 5 May while heading South from Vanrook Station in Far North Queensland to Bankstown Airport in Sydney.

I also noted that late last week there were a couple of other interesting light aircraft to call into Longreach Airport.  Smart-looking SOCATA TBM-850 VH-PVM called in from Cairns, heading South to its Wagga Wagga base - it had called into Bundaberg earlier in the week heading North.  Fairly new Toowoomba-based Hawker Beechcraft G58 Baron VH-OMS called in twice heading to Cloncurry from Roma and back the next day.  Great Western Aviation (of Brisbane) Beech B200 King Air VH-XGV called in while heading to Winton from Brisbane.  And New South Wales-based Beech A36 VH-PIZ called in from Charleville and eventually departed further North to Cairns.
