JetGo E-135 VH-JGB Plus Other Plane Spotting Photos from Emerald Airport on Sunday Afternoon

After a great morning of flying with the Rockhampton Aero Club, I was driving home to Clermont and called into Emerald Airport late on Sunday 11 May and was fortunate to capture some photos of JetGo Australia Embraer E-135LR VH-JGB as it touched down from Newcastle (Williamtown) Airport.

The Embraer has been operating a series of - presumably - Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flights into Emerald over recent days, with Sundays flight originating in Sydney.  VH-JGB eventually departed to Brisbane as JG35.

Also spotted at Emerald Airport in Sunday 11 May was QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 VH-QOF which was photographed arriving from Brisbane as QLK2414.  It was the second time in the day I saw VH-QOF with it photographed in Gladstone earlier in the day (see below).

On the General Aviation (GA) aprons, a pair of Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) King Air aircraft were present, with Hawker Beechcraft B200 King Air VH-FDT ("FlyDoc 436") and Raytheon B200 King Air VH-FDW ("FlyDoc 447") both photographed.

Fugro Spatial Solutions Cessna 404 VH-WGS was photographed as it returned to Emerald from (possibly) another aerial survey flight.  VH-WGS is presently based at Emerald conducting survey flights over recent days.

I also recently spotted on flight tracking program Flightradar24 another Fugro aircraft in the form of Beech B60 Duke VH-KPB performing a survey flight out of Emerald as the screen capture below shows.

Finally, most other aircraft on the Emerald Airport GA aprons on Sunday 11 May belonged to locally-based Advance Aviation.  The photo below shows their Piper Navajo VH-FWJ, Piper Saratoga VH-LPW and Cessna 210 VH-TQC, along with a visiting Jabiru ultralight aircraft.

A really enjoyable half-hour of plane spotting at Emerald, after a truly memorable morning of flying and plane spotting!
