Exercise Wallaby 2018 - Royal Brunei Boeing B787-8 Dreamliner V8-DLE at Rockhampton Airport Again and Again as Second Wave of Troop Charters Wrap-up

On Tuesday 16 October, the second 'wave' of heavy jet charter flights to and from Rockhampton Airport in support of the Singapore Armed Force's Exercise Wallaby 2018 wrapped up with the fourth and final 'daily' visit by Royal Brunei Airlines Boeing B787-8 Dreamliner V8-DLE.

Again, V8-DLE touched down direct from Singapore's Changi Airport as RBA4271 and parked on Gate 6 on the southern end of the parking apron.

On each of its four visits, including on Monday 15 October and Tuesday 16 October, the Dreamliner looked to unload and then re-load full flights of passengers and bags. On both occasions, V8-DLE departed back to Singapore after dark as RBA4272.

Of interest, V8-DLE is the airline's youngest of their five Dreamliners being delivered to Royal Brunei in June this year!

It is believed that the third and possibly final 'wave' of heavy jet charter flights in support of the Singapore Armed Force's Exercise Wallaby 2018 will come to Rockhampton Airport in 2-3 weeks.
