New Hevilift Australia ATR 72-500 VH-YWV (ex OY-CLU) Spotted at Emerald Airport on FIFO Charter - Plus More!

Early on Monday 20 April, new Hevilift Australia ATR 72-500 VH-YWV was spotted on the ground at Emerald Airport.  It had arrived from Brisbane on a Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) closed charter flight as HT735.

VH-YWV then returned to Brisbane but as HT736.

Of interest VH-YWV was registered to Hevilift Australia at the start of this month after it was delivered to the airline in Brisbane registered as OY-CLU to Nordic Aviation Capital in late March.

Of further interest, Hevilift Australia also operated other FIFO charter flights into the region also on Monday 20 April

ATR 42-320 VH-YWH flew from Brisbane to Moranbah Airport and then Brisbane as HT423/401.

ATR 72-500 VH-FVH flew from Brisbane to Moranbah Airport and back as HT723/4.

ATR 72-500 VH-FVM flew from Brisbane to Townsville and back as HT705/6.

This continues a good run for closed charter flights that have been picked up by Hevilift Australia which now often flys two ATRs into Moranbah Airport most days, as well as FIFO charter flights based out of Townsville.
