Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-206 Spotted Doing a Missed Approach at Rockhampton Airport

On Wednesday 29 April, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-206 was spotted completing a missed approach at Rockhampton Airport.

It appears that the Globemaster earlier departed from RAAF Base Amberley and met up with and completed exercises off the coast of Brisbane with RAAF Airbus A330-203 / KC-30A (MRTT) refuelling aircraft A39-002 "Thumper 11" and A39-004 "Thumper 12".

After completing the air-to-air refuelling exercise, A41-206, which was flying as "Stallion 34" then flew North to complete the airwork at Rockhampton Airport.  It then returned to Amberley.

Sincere thanks to local plane spotter Kayanne H who was at the right places at the right time to capture these great photos of the Globemaster!
