Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Airbus A330-200 / KC-30A Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) A39-002 Pops into at Rockhampton Airport

On Friday 24 April, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Airbus A330-200 / KC-30A Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) A39-002 was photographed as it visited Rockhampton Airport.

The KC-30A has earlier departed RAAF Base Amberley and flew North for a brief landing at Cairns Airport. It the flew South and landed at Rockhampton Airport where it parked, had a crew change and was re-programmed before departing back to Amberley.

A39-002 was heard to be using the radio callsign of "Dragon 43".

This is the third visit of a RAAF KC-30A MRTT around Rockhampton Airport this week - see Blog posts below!

Sincere thanks to local plane spotter Michael M who was at the right place at the right time to capture these great photos while on his lunchtime walk!
