Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Lockheed C-130J-30 Hercules Transport Aircraft A97-447 & A97-440 Complete MORE Airwork at CQ Airports - Spotted at Rockhampton Airport

On Sunday 13 September, and for the second day in-a-row, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Lockheed C-130J-30 Hercules transport aircraft A97-440 and A97-447 were noted back in the region, again noted completing airwork at some Central Queensland Airports.

A97-440 was again flying as "Trojan 01" and flew down from Townsville to complete missed approaches at Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast), Mackay and Emerald Airports before landing at Rockhampton Airport.   After completing a crew change, the Herc then departed and was spotted completing three touch-and-go approaches before it then departed to Coffs Harbour via more missed approaches at Roma, Oakey and Ballina/Byron Bay Gateway Airports.

Meanwhile, A97-447 "Trojan 02" also flew South from Townsville and complete missed approaches at Mackay, Rockhampton, Roma and Ballina/Byron Bay Gateway Airports before it too then landed at Coffs Harbour.

Sincere thanks to local plane spotter Scott H who was at the right place at the right time and sharing with us there great photos!
