Hevilift (PNG) Agusta Westland AW139 Helicopter P2-HCC Pops into Rockhampton Airport Heading South

On Monday 14 September, a nice helicopter was noted passing through Rockhampton Airport in the form of Hevilift Papua New Guinea (PNG) Agusta Westland AW139 P2-HCC.

It looked to arrive from Cairns and Townsville after arriving into Far North Queensland from PNG the previous day.  After taking on fuel, P2-HCC departed Rockhampton Airport for Redcliffe where it was photographed above arriving during the afternoon.

It is believed that P2-HCC ferried South to Redcliffe for planned maintenance and possible export to Nigeria.

Of interest, P2-HCC is one of four PNG-registered helicopters currently at Redcliffe all possibly being prepared for export.  As posted below, fellow Hevilift PNG Agusta Westland AW139 helicopter P2-HCG also passed through Rockhampton Airport for Redcliffe on Monday 10 August.

Sincere thanks to Brisbane-based plane spotter Simon C for allowing us to share these great photos!
