On Friday 17 March, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing B737-7ES / E-7A Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft A30-001 was noted completing airwork at a couple of Central Queensland Airports.

A30-001 was flying as "Wedgetail 23" and looked to fly up to Hamilton Island Airport from RAAF Base Williamtown where it looked to complete a missed approach. It then continued up to complete more airwork at Cairns and then headed back South.

A30-001 "Wedgetail 23" then flew down via an inland route to Longreach Airport where completed another missed approach before then returning back direct to Williamtown.
