American Registered Cessna Citation Bizjet N501AF Departs Hamilton Island Airport

On Monday 2 January, FTM Air LLC (Fargo, North Dakota, USA) Cessna 501 Citation I/SP bizjet N501AF was noted departing Hamilton Island Airport for the Gold Coast.

The Citation's exact movements are not fully known however I'm told that it arrived at Hamo from the South (possibly Archerfield) last Thursday 29 December.

Meanwhile a locally-based Citation bizjet in the form of AAA Aircraft / Flight Options (Australia) Cessna 650 Citation III VH-SPJ has visited Hamilton Island twice more over the last couple of days. On Sunday 1 January, it arrived from Melbourne (Essendon) and Ayres Rock and later departed to Sydney.  It then returned to Hamo from Sydney on Monday 2 January and seems to be still parked.

Also on Monday 2 January, Balmoral Air Dassault Falcon 2000LX bizjet VH-WIO also departed Hamilton Island Airport but for Bankstown. It had arrived from there on Friday 30 December.

On Sunday 1 January, Corporate Aviation Bell 429 Helicopter VH-EQP departed Hamo heading back its Southport base via Gladstone Airport.  It had arrived from there on Tuesday 27 December.

Finally, amongst all the comings and goings, Homada Pty Ltd Cessna 560XL Citation XLS bizjet VH-XCU remains parked at Hamilton Island Airport after arriving from Essendon last Wednesday 28 December.
