A pleasant surprise for Mackay planespotters on Saturday 18 August when Virgin Australia's recently delivered Boeing B737-800 VH-YIO arrived at Mackay Airport, operating as DJ613 from Brisbane.
Reports from Brisbane suggests that VH-YIO was a late addition to the flight on Saturday afternoon, due to the unavailability of other aircraft. This flight was VH-YIO's first revenue service for Virgin Australia since its delivery earlier in the month.
