Virgin Australia (Skywest Airlines) ATR 72-600 VH-FVN popped into Rockhampton Airport on Friday 12 October. It was this recently delivered aircraft's first visit to the region.
VH-FVN continued what is becoming a long series of 'training' flights by these new ATR 72-600's that depart Brisbane for Rockhampton, and then head to either the Sunshine Coast or Hervey Bay most days.
Some flights land at Rockhampton - as demonstrated by a recent photo of Virgin's other ATR 72-600 VH-FVP - while some others simply carry out a missed-approach at Rockhampton and fly back to the South.
VH-FVN is expected to make another visit to Rockhampton on Saturday 13 October as well!
