Royal Australia Air Force (RAAF) Aircraft Noted Around Rockhampton Airport This Week

A couple of Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) aircraft have been spotted flying around Rockhampton Airport over the last couple of days.

On Wednesday 5 December, a RAAF Boeing C-17A Globemaster III was noted performing a touch-and-go at Rockhampton Airport.

On Thursday 6 December, RAAF Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 A37-002, which is operated by the VIP 34 Squadron in Canberra, was noted climbing out of Rockhampton Airport flying as "Envoy 11" (file photo below).


Later, RAAF Airbus A330-203 / KC-30A (MRTT) A39-004 (file photo below) was noted conducting operations overhead the Central Highlands - particularly Dysart and Moranbah.


It was flying as "Dragon 41" and could have been conducting airborne refuelling.
