Cessna 510 Citation Mustang Bizjet VH-KXM at Rockhampton Airport Saturday – Plus More!

Very early on Saturday 2 May, Gulf Coast Aviation Cessna 510 Citation Mustang VH-KXM called into Rockhampton Airport from Bansktown.  After taking on fuel, it departed to Mareeba and then Vanrook Station near Normanton.

I note with interest that VH-KXM is again due into Rockhampton but on Sunday 3 May, returning South from Normanton.

It is assumed that VH-KXM possibly brought passengers to attend "Beef Week" - Beef Australia 2015 - which will be held from this week at Rockhampton to celebrate all facets of the Australian beef industry.

Meanwhile, local plane spotter Kayanne H popped out to Rocky Airport later on Saturday 2 May and captured Emu Park-based Cirrus SR-22 as it returned South from a trip North.

It touched down from Townsville and Port Douglas.

Finally, local plane spotter Trevor H captured Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Hawker Beechcraft B200 VH-FDG sitting outside the new RFDS patient transfer facility on the General Aviation (GA) side of Rockhampton Airport.

Trevor also reports that this area will soon be covered in to allow for patient transfers to occur in both wet weather and in times of extreme heat.

Thanks guys!
