RAAF Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-213 Low Overshoot at Rockhampton and Mackay Airports Sunday

On Sunday 8 May, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III transport aircraft A41-213 was noted completing a missed approach at Rockhampton Airport.  It then continued further North at low level before being captured overflying Mackay Airport by local aviator Kevin P.



A41-213 was noted using the radio callsign of "Stallion 34".

Of interest, on Friday 6 May, A41-213 was spotted alongside sistership A41-209 as it conducted a spectacular low-level flight along the South-East Queensland coast.


Finally, as the sun went down also on Sunday 8 May, RAAF Beech B350 Super King Air A32-372 was noted arriving into Rockhampton Airport direct from RAAF Base East Sale in Victoria.  It was heard using the radio callsign of "Beaufort 5".
