Back in CQ once again on Monday 16 May was the Earth Commodities Cessna 550 Citation Bravo bizjet VH-CCJ. As per usual, it initially flew North from Brisbane and touched down at Gladstone Airport for a short time before continuing further North to Mackay Airport. However, on this occasion, it bypassed Rockhampton and instead returned to Gladstone Airport where it looks to be staying the night.
Indeed, at the time of writing, VH-CCJ will depart Gladstone for Bundaberg Airport early on Tuesday 17 May before returning to Brisbane just after 1pm.
NetJets (Australasian Jet) Cessna 501 Citation I/SP bizjet VH-FUM arrived into the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour directly from Melbourne (Essendon) Airport last Thursday 12 May. On Monday 16 May, VH-FUM departed the Whitsunday Airport for Sydney before later returning to its Essendon base.
Meanwhile, calling into the Whitsundays on Monday 16 May was the Cessna 525 Citation M2 bizjet VH-WMY of Mitchell Water Australia which touched down at Hamilton Island Airport from Essendon via a fuel stop at Roma. It remains parked on Hamo.
Back a little further South, Gulf Coast Aviation Cessna 510 Citation Mustang VH-KXM has once again visited CQ this time calling into Rockhampton Airport late on Monday 16 May after a busy day of flying which saw it start at Bankstown and call into Vanrook Station (near Normanton) via Townsville and then to Rocky again via Townsville.
Finally, it's worth noting that Marcplan Charter Gulfstream G-IV-X (G450) VH-MBP is scheduled to fly into Rockhampton Airport from Brisbane early on Tuesday 17 May using the flight number and callsign of "Envoy 81", This is usually one of the callsigns that the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) 34 Squadron VIP transport aircraft use. Perhaps another politician is heading to Rocky during this Federal Election campaign.
