Rescue Mission off the Fraser Coast sees AMSA (Cobham) Challenger 604 Bizjet VH-XNE Supports LifeFlight Bell 412 Helicopter VH-XCO

During the afternoon on Thursday 12 October, it was interesting to note that the Bundaberg Airport-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Bell 412 VH-XCO "Rescue 522" was tasked to a position off the Fraser Coast to complete a search and rescue mission.

It was joined by Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) (Cobham SAR Services Pty Ltd) Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-XNE "Rescue 330" which flew down from Cairns to co-ordinate the search.

When complete, VH-XNE returned to Cairns.

Meanwhile, also on Thursday 12 October, fellow RACQ LifeFlight Agusta Westland AW139 helicopter VH-XIH "Rescue 533" completed two med-evac flights from the Hervey Bay Hospital back to Brisbane.
