Torres Strait Air BN-2A-27 Islander VH-TRS Ferries South via Emerald Airport to Archerfield

Interesting to note that on Thursday 26 October, Torres Strait Air Pilatus Britten-Norman BN-2A-27 Islander VH-TRS ferried South to Archerfield for planned maintenance via Emerald Airport.

It had ferried South from Mareeba where it arrived the previous day from Horn Island.

Meanwhile, also on Wednesday 25 October, fellow Torres Strait Air Pilatus Britten-Norman BN2A-21 Islander VH-WZD was also noted passing through Emerald Airport, heading back to Mareeba from Archerfield at the completion of its planned maintenance.

It had originally ferried South also via Emerald Airport in mid-September.

Finally, Port Macquarie (New South Wales) based Piper PA-31-350 Navajo Cheiftan VH-LIL also completed a ferry flight from Archerfield but to Mount Isa via Longreach Airport on Friday 20 October.  It appears that VH-LIL is presently based at Mount Isa.
