Making a surprise but welcome visit to Rockhampton Airport on Wednesday 17 January was Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Beech B200C King Air VH-MSZ.
Local plane spotters Trevor H and Kayanne H were on hand and captured some photos as the King Air arrived into Rockhampton Airport from its Dubbo base in New South Wales via Bankstown. VH-MSZ was heard to be using the radio callsign on "FlyDoc 229".
After unloading a medical patient who was transferred to the Rockhampton Base Hospital, VH-MSZ "FlyDoc 229" departed Rocky flying directly back to Dubbo.
This King Air is a rare visitor to Queensland as it is based with South-Eastern Section of the RFDS based out of Dubbo.
Sincere thanks to Trevor and Kayanne for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos of a rare visitor to CQ!
