New QGAir Rescue (State of Queensland) Leonardo S.P.A. Helicopters (Agusta) AW139 Helicopter VH-EGF Completes Med-Evac Flight into Bundaberg as "Rescue 500"

On Wednesday 8 May, the other one of the two new Queensland Government (QGAir) Rescue (State of Queensland)  Leonardo S.P.A. Helicopter (Agusta) AW139 helicopters VH-EGF was noted making its first visit to Central Queensland operating a medical evacuation flight into Bundaberg.

VH-EGF only looked to commence operations with QGAir Rescue in the last couple of days and looked to be based out of Archerfield flying as "Rescue 500".

As mentioned previously, VH-EGF is one of two new Leonardo AW139 helicopters - the other is VH-EGK - that were registered and delivered to QGAir at the end of last year.  The two helicopters underwent modification and fitting out at Caloundra Airport on the Sunshine Coast prior to entering service.

As pictured above, VH-EGK ferried North to Townsville via Gladstone and Mackay Airports in late March with it now operating between QGAir's Townsville and Cairns bases.
