Corporate Air / Vee H Aviation Cessna 441 Conquest II VH-VEY "NavCheck 1" Pops into Longreach Airport Heading North

On Monday 5 August, Corporate Air / Vee H Aviation Cessna 441 Conquest II VH-VEY was back in CQ, passing through Longreach Airport while heading North, flying once again as "NavCheck 1".

We have noted on previous occasions that Corporate Air Cessna Conquest aircraft have operated flight safety check sorties at CQ Airports and it appears that VH-VEY may be completing the same type of flights again.  VH-VEY did the same in April this year as pictured above.

After taking on fuel, VH-VEY "NavCheck 1" departed Longreach Airport for Mount Isa.

Meanwhile, it appears that over the last week or, VH-VEY was operating closed passenger charter flights into some CQ Airports.  On Friday 26 July, VH-VEY had a busy day of flying, departing Brisbane for my local Clermont Aerodrome before continuing to Townsville.  It then visited Oaky Creek Mine and Rolleston Aerodrome, before returning to Brisbane.  It also appears that VH-VEY may have visited Mackay Airport earlier in the week.

UPDATE!  On Monday 12 August, VH-VEY "NavCheck 1" flew South from Cairns and completed a check of the approaches on the Western side at Gladstone. It then continued on to Brisbane.
