Saturday 5 February, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Lockheed C-130J-30 Hercules A97-464 was spotted as it climbed out after completing a missed approach at Mackay Airport.
The Herc looked to fly down from Cairns where it arrived RAAF Base Richmond the previous day.
After departing Cairns, A97-464 completed airwork at Townsville, Mackay, Gold Coast and Tamworth Airports before it then landed back at Richmond.
A97-464 was heard to be using the radio callsign of "Trojan 52" for all of its flights.
