Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Lockheed C-130J-30 Hercules A97-465 "Trojan 43" Completes Airwork at CQ Airports

On Sunday 13 November, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Lockheed C-130J-30 Hercules transport aircraft A97-465 departed Townsville and looked to fly down towards Emerald Airport where it completed a missed approach.

Radio calls suggested the Herc was to then fly at very low level South towards Springsure and further places to the South and East.

A97-465 eventually came back up on radar near Gayndah some time later and then proceeded to fly onwards to RAAF Base Amberley.

Of interest, A97-465 was using the radio callsign of "Trojan 43" and had been flying overseas around New Zealand in the days prior to landing at Townsville as "Ausy 838".
