WA-Based Pilatus PC-12/47E VH-FZH Arrives into Rockhampton Airport - Plus More! - UPDATED!!

On Wednesday 2 November, Western Australia-based Pilatus PC-12/47E VH-FZH arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Cloncurry Airport. It had flown across from Bruce Rock Aerodrome (YBRO) in Western Australia the previous day.  This is where it seems to be based.

UPDATE!  On Thursday 3 November, VH-FZH is pictured at Rockhampton Airport after staying for the night.  It later departed to Ceduna in South Australia before returning to Bruce Rock Aerodrome in Western Australia.

Meanwhile, also on Wednesday 2 November, Airflite / Commonwealth of Australia (Cadets Branch - Air Force) Diamond DA 40 NG Star VH-UEX as "Astra 201" flew down from Mackay Airport to Rockhampton Airport before flying back to RAAF Base Amberley. As mentioned below, VH-UEX "Astra 201" flew up from Amberley to Rocky and then Townsville at the start of the week before flying down to Mackay Airport yesterday.

Link Airways (Corporate Air / Vee H Aviation) Metro 23 VH-VET flew out from Brisbane to Longreach Airport and then Boulia and then back to Brisbane direct.

Fellow Link Airways Cessna 441 Conquest VH-VEY flew up from Goulbourn to my local Clermont Aerodrome before then flying to the Newlands Coal Mine site and back to Clermont.  It then flew to Brisbane.

As mentioned below, fellow Link Airways Cessna 441 VH-VEJ arrived into Clermont Aerodrome yesterday and was planned to do the flight to Newlands on Wednesday.  I assume it encountered a technical problem and was grounded.  VH-VEJ eventually departed Clermont Aerodrome for Brisbane.

While RDO Equipment Co. (ex Vanderfield) Cessna 182 VH-JQC departed Emerald Airport for Toowoomba after spending the last week or so based at Emerald Airport.

As mentioned below, the RDO Equipment Co. Pilatus PC-12/47 VH-WPH arrived into Emerald Airport on Tuesday and seems to be staying.

The Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ flew into Rockhampton Airport from Cairns before departing to Townsville. It then returned to Rockhampton Airport from Townsville before returning back to Cairns.

West Wing Aviation / Helicopters Townsville Beech 58 Baron VH-ABP arrived into Mackay Airport from Townsville.

Brescon (Toowoomba) Beech B200 King Air VH-WXB flew up from Toowoomba-Wellcamp and Archerfield to the Labona Station Airstrip within Adani Australia's (Bravus Mining & Resources) Carmichael Coal Mine site.

UPDATE!  On Thursday 3 November, VH-WXB departed Labona for Bowen Aerodrome before then returning to Archerfield and Wellcamp.

New South Wales-registered Eurocopter AS350 B2 Squirrel helicopter VH-TXI flew down from Cairns and Townsville to Mackay Airport.

And Queensland Government (QGAir) Rescue (State of Queensland) Leonardo S.P.A. Helicopter (Agusta) AW139 helicopter VH-EGK was noted passing through Gladstone and Mackay Airports while ferrying north from Archerfield to Townsville.

As we have reported previously, this 'rotational system' of airframes that QGAir utilises ensure the even distribution of flying hours on each of the their Rescue helicopters. This system avoids the need to have multiple helicopters offline for simultaneous scheduled maintenance.

Finally, some bizjet action around the region, also on Wednesday 2 November, included Air Charter Services / Flight Options (Australia) Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300 bizjet VH-VKX flew into Rockhampton Airport from Brisbane and Biloela / Thangool Airport.  It later departed back to Brisbane.

While Robindale Group / Air Link Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-CMK departed back to the Sunshine Coast and then Orange in New South Wales, after it arrived from those places the previous day.

And LifeFlight (Aeromed) Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-OFA "Ambulance 614" flew down from Townsville and Cairns to Mackay Airport.  It then departed to Brisbane.

VH-OFA "Ambulance 614" later returned to Cairns and Townsville.
