Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Airbus A330-203 / KC-30A (MRTT) A39-003 Spotted Completing a Missed Approach at Rockhampton Airport

On Friday 4 November, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Airbus A330-200 / KC-30A Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) A39-003 was noted completing a missed approach at Rockhampton Airport.

It was flying as "Dragon 07" and initially departed RAAF Base Amberley and headed out over water off the South-East Queensland coast where it completed airwork with fellow RAAF Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-212 "Stallion 64".

Later, the C-17 A41-212 "Stallion 64" returned to Amberley.

The KC-30A A39-003 "Dragon 07" flew all the way up to Townsville where it completed a missed approach.  It then returned to Amberley, via the missed approach at Rockhampton Airport.

Sincere thanks to local plane spotter Scott H for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
