Nice Aerometrex Vulcanair (Partenavia) VH-EPX at Roma and Rockhampton Airports - Plus More!

On Friday 18 November, Aerometrex Vulcanair (Partenavia) VH-EPX was noted flying up to Rockhampton Airport from Roma Airport, via some aerial survey work West of Rolleston and near Gladstone.

VH-EPX had flown into Roma Airport from Archerfield the previous day.

UPDATE!  On Sunday 20 November, VH-EPX departed Rockhampton Airport for Mackay Airport before it then completed an aerial survey flight around Collinsville and the Newlands Coal Mine site out of and back to Mackay Airport.

UPDATE!  On Monday 21 November, VH-EPX departed Mackay Airport for Toowoomba and Port Macquarie.

Meanwhile, a couple of other lighties around the region, also on a quiet Friday 18 November, included another aerial survey aircraft in the form of Dino Air (Interair) Piper PA-31 Navajo VH-XGL which flew up from Toowoomba to Longreach Airport.

UPDATE!  On Saturday 19 November, VH-XGL completed an aerial survey flight out of and back to Longreach Airport - reportedly on powerline inspections.

Liddle's Air Service Partenavia P.68C VH-PNW also continues to complete aerial survey flights in the region.  After completing such a flight from and back to Rockhampton Airport yesterday, today, VH-PNW departed Rocky for Gladstone Airport.

UPDATE!  On Saturday 19 November, departed Gladstone Airport for Bundaberg Airport and then Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport.

Pekal Aviation Piper PA-31-350 Navajo VH-TRA flew from Goondiwindi to Emerald Airport.

UPDATE!  On Saturday 19 November, VH-TRA returned to Goondiwindi from Emerald Airport.

The Queensland Police Service (Airwing) (State of Queensland) Raytheon B1900D VH-PSK called into Rockhampton Airport from Cairns and Townsville before later departing to Brisbane.  It then returned to Townsville and Cairns.

Colville Aviation Services / Torres Strait Air Pilatus Britten-Norman BN-2B-20 Islander VH-PSX flew from Mareeba to Charters Towers Aerodrome and then Emerald Airport yesterday before departing to Watts Bridge on Friday for what seems to be planned maintenance.  The Islander was previous part of the Queensland Police Service (Airwing) fleet.

And Link Airways (Corporate Air / Vee H Aviation) SAAB 340B VH-VEP operated the airline's new service from Brisbane to Bundaberg Airport and back as FC455/6.
