Friday 13 December, QantasLink operated but Alliance Airlines owned Embraer E-190 regional jet VH-A3U made its first ever visit to Central Queensland, visiting Emerald Airport on a scheduled QantasLink service from and back to Brisbane as QFA1816/7.

It had flown across from Adelaide earlier in the day as QFA6296.
VH-A3U is ex-N374JB with the former JetBlue Airways E-190 being delivered to Alliance Airlines in Brisbane and then Adelaide in mid-November.

It then commenced operations out of Adelaide on Alliance Airlines' flights to Olympic Dam, Moomba and Ballera.
