VH-QOK approaches Brisbane Airport recently (File photo) |
VH-QOK emerged from the Flying Colours paint-shop at Townsville Airport on Wednesday 4 July having become the second Dash-8-Q400 that wore the 2007-style 'New Roo' Qantas livery to be re-painted. It joins seven other Dash-8-Q400s in the new and updated Qantas livery and kangaroo logo, which was introduced to coincide with the introduction the Boeing B787 Dreamliner into service with the airline late last year.
Of interest, it appears that the previous un-named Dash-8-Q400 VH-QOK has now been named 'Lismore' as shown above.
VH-QOK has visited Mackay, Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Roma and Moranbah Airports this week.
It appears that Dash-8-Q400 VH-QOV may have now entered the paint-shop. Since late-March, it appears that Qantas Boeing B737-800 and QantasLink Dash-8-Q300 aircraft have ferried through Townsville for re-painting into the new Qantas livery so with VH-QOK emerging this week, it was a nice surprise!
