Special Mining Services / Flight Options (Australia) Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-PWX was noted calling into Moranbah Airport early on Wednesday 17 September from Cessnock. It had positioned to Cessnock from Bankstown the previous day.

After a day parked at the mining centre, VH-PWX departed back to Cessnock and then Bankstown.
Also of note the weekly Pel Air-operated Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flight from Brisbane to Moranbah continues to arrive each Tuesday night and departs Wednesday morning. On Tuesday 16 September, Regional Express (REX) SAAB 340B VH-ZLW was noted arriving as PFY9304. It departed back to Brisbane on Wednesday 17 September as PFY9801.
